An industrial corporation in a fast-changing market needed support for the strategic reorganisation of its food additives business unit. Our goal was to adapt the business strategy to the new market conditions and optimise the company’s financial results.
To achieve this, we defined a well-structured process and set up a team from the client’s business areas R&D, production, marketing, sales and HR. This interdisciplinary team was instructed to conduct a market analysis based on internal and external expert interviews. The results were then used to develop a deeper understanding for the market and to draft different business scenarios. Supervised by ARACON consultants, the client team worked with a large degree of independence on the creation of a new BU strategy and implementing plans for the specific strategy components.
Thanks to the intensive inclusion, the employees were trained (capacity building, team building) and their commitment and sense of responsibility were maximised. The strategy was well accepted within the company and led to the desired results.
